Identities classified as trademarks enjoy legal protection in the Russian Federation. Unauthorized use of trademarks entails administrative or criminal prosecution. Unlawful use of a trademark is prosecuted under Art. 14.10 of the Administrative Offenses Code (195-FZ dd. 30.12.2001), Art. 180 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (63-FZ dd 13.06.1996).
