87 mln passengers transported by ‘Aeroexpress’ over 20 years of operation
In May 2025 ‘Aeroexpress’ celebrated its 20th anniversary. All this time, high-speed rail has been linking Domodedovo Airport with the centre of the capital. Domodedovo became the first airport in Moscow where ‘Aeroexpress’ started operating in the format we are well used to now. Over the years, the company has transported 84 million passengers from Domodedovo Airport by train and 3.2 million by bus.
“Transport accessibility has always been one of the key factors that determined the airport's strategic development. Cooperation with ‘Aeroexpress’ has helped us solve the problem of uninterrupted connectivity with the city aimed at all categories of passengers," says Andrey Pavlov, Director of Domodedovo Airport. “Over the course of 20 years of operation, the transportation format has evolved in accordance with up-to-date trends and passenger wants. The year 2021 saw the opening of a dedicated Aeroexpress terminal at the airport connected to the airport complex by a covered gallery. Aeroexpress buses were launched in 2022. One thing remains unchanged – a combination of speed, reliability and comfort. On this anniversary, we wish our partners growth in passenger traffic and prosperity.”
