The best airline in Africa - Ethiopian Airlines - has chosen Domodedovo for its flights to Moscow
26 October, 2018. Domodedovo, Moscow region. Moscow Domodedovo Airport welcomes on the 6th of December the first regular flight from the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. The new route is being launched by Ethiopian Airlines which was ranked the Best Airline in Africa by Skytrax.
Initially the company is going to fly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays via Istanbul. The operator plans to launch non-stop flights as the passenger flow increases.
The cooperation with Ethiopian Airlines opens for the passengers of
Domodedovo Airport the shortest way to the Central and South Africa. From its hub at Addis Ababa the travellers can make connecting flights to such countries as Kenia, Tanzania, South African Republic, Zanzibar as well as Seychelles and Madagascar. Ethiopian Airlines serves 57 destinations on the continent.
The flights to Moscow will be operated by one of the biggest passenger aircrafts in the world, Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner which counts 246 seats in Economy and 24 seats in Business Class.
Ethiopian Airlines is a member of Star Alliance network which is based in Domodedovo. The company is the fastest growing airline in Africa with an average fleet age of five years. It operates more than 116 international passenger and cargo destinations across five continents.
