Head of Russian Aviation Authority Dmitry Yadrov Visits Domodedovo Airport
The Head of Russian Federal Aviation Authority and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Domodedovo Airport, Dmitry Yadrov, familiarized himself with the current status and development plans of the airport complex.
During the visit, Domodedovo Airport’s CEO, Andrey Ivanov, showed him the runway under construction, the renovated apron, the flight radio-technical support facilities, and the aircraft de-icing area.
“Domodedovo has always played a crucial role in Russia’s air transport system. To put it in perspective: the airport now serves an average of almost 40,000 passengers daily — essentially the population of a small town. Our task is to restore this asset to its former status. Today we discussed a range of tasks that need to be addressed: reconstruction of flat structures, the route network, financial stability, and, of course, personnel. Most importantly, the airport continues to operate normally, safely handling hundreds of flights daily while providing a high level of service to Russian citizens and international guests,” said Dmitry Yadrov.
