DOMODEDOVO AIRPORT HAS CONGRATULATED ‘SOMON AIR’ WITH THE ANNIVERSARY OF FOUNDATION
‘Somon Air’, Tajikistan’s national carrier, has celebrated 17 years since its foundation. It is the only airline in the country that has membership in the International Air Transport Association (IATA). ‘Somon Air’ operates a fleet that consists of modern Boeing 737 aircraft, which enables it to ensure high levels of passenger safety and comfort.
In January 2025 the carrier signed an agreement for delivery of two cutting-edge Boeing 737 Max aircraft. This valuable contribution to the airline’s fleet is planned to take place in 2026. In December 2024, ‘Somon Air’ presented its new web site and upgraded mobile application with more user-friendly interfaces.
‘Somon Air’ is based at Dushanbe Airport, which can also be considered a transit nod. The carrier’s route network features such milestone capitals and cities of the world as Munich, Deli, Jeddah, Doha, Islamabad, Istanbul, Teheran, etc. Domodedovo is the airport of origin for the airline’s flights to Dushanbe and Khujand.
